Death penalty cannot solve anything. What if the person who was/will be sentenced to death is proven innocent after the execution? How will you be able to bring back his/her life?

humans are humans. no body is perfect and so we all commit mistakes. (im not saying its an excuse!) we do the wrong decisions, hurt others and break the laws. committing mistakes are part of our life and so is redeeming and correcting our mistakes that is why death penalty is unjust and should be totally scrapped. no body has the right to deprive a person of his right to repent no matter how wicked he is. a person who claims himself to be righteous but condemns and execute others is much worse than a criminal.

It should be implemented, the death penalty. The people nowadays are braver in committing crimes. I usually hear and watch on T.v that fathers rape their children and kill ,a person who commits murder several times, holdup a person and then kills the victim and many more. the bad guys are really ain't afraid anymore wth the laws so we need to implement it NOW!

You'll only know what's the right thing to do if you or your family became a victim of rape, sexual harassment, murder, homicide....

"right" is a very subjective word.. Things like our culture, religion and even our location can affect our view on what is right... "right thing" is an illusion created by what society dictates.. right is the norm but it is not always "right"

Death penalty is not and will never be a solution to solve any crime. In the first place, we have no right to kill anyone because we all have the right to leave. Criminals still have a to change for good so give them chances.

Every side of the earth there are crimes committed and death penalty is not the solution to these crimes. Death penalty can serve as a threat to people who commit crimes, but why? are the sanctions, punishment provided by the law not enough?

people in Singapore are disciplined without imposing death penalty. our government are just very lenient. if you have money it can reverse the whole story and make it happen that you don't have any fault. how about the poor if they will be proven guilty? they cannot do anything. it is detrimental to end ones life without given the chance to change. although a person committed heinous crimes, it is injustice to kill him since it is against human rights. i rather suggest to prohibit bail if a person is accused repeatedly to rape, kill, or any inhumane crime.

this is an immoral law and should be removed. every people have second chance and that chance will be the time they will build their new life and maybe can help society. and in fact many of those who are executed are innocent and have no right to prove themselves they are innocent

Remember, our Constitution is designed to prevent misjudgment to the accused found to be innocent so it is a GRAVE MISTAKE to SUSPEND the death penalty as a capital punishment. As a result, it is just a slap into the face of the government to let the Convicts of Heinous Crimes, especially the Drug Lords TO LIVE IN PLUSH and LUXURIOUS LIFE WHILE THE REST OF THE POOR CONVICTS TO LAY DOWN IN PERIL, when the NBI under the orders of DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima conducted a surprise inspection in the Bilibid Prisons. And worse, Transactions in Drug Trade still on the run though these convicts are in prison.

I agree with death penalty because it is a great assurance that executed criminals will not able to commit crimes in the future. As to "mistakes" it is a human weakness that's why jury will have to consider a lot of evidence including the state of mind, background and more..... Leave a Reply. |
